The 2009 models have finally arrived! Although the exterior design hasn't changed much for 2009, the interior design received a major overhaul. As always, you can check our website for our current inventory or stop by our showroom and let Matt or Brian show you the changes that have been made.

By the way, the rumors are true. MasterCraft is releasing the brand-new X-55 for 2009. Our first one is in production now, so you won't have to wait too long to feast your eyes on this new beast. If you're familiar with the X-35, just imagine a bigger, badder version of that boat and you have the X-55. Pretty sweet, eh?

Does Billy Still Have The Skills?

Most of you know Billy McKee. He's been the go-to guy at Utah Water Sports for the past 4 1/2 years. If you own a MasterCraft, chances are Billy was the guy who went on your maiden voyage with you... to make sure you knew how to use your boat and get a little riding time in for himself. For a little over a year now, Billy has been in charge of business development for MasterCraft Dealer Services (parent company to UWS), so you probably haven't seen him around the dealership much and surely haven't seen him wakeboarding in a while. Well, many people (maybe even you) have wondered if Billy still has the skills. It turns out a few people over at Alliance Wakeboarding Magazine were wondering the same thing, so they flew intern Dave Patterson out to Utah to get the answer to the question: Can Billy McKee still stomp it on a wakeboard? They got their answer. Yes, he most certainly can.

Park City 4th of July Parade

MasterCraft/Utah Water Sports spent the morning of the 4th of July in the Park City 4th of July Parade. It was a great event to be a part of. As far as we could tell, over 50,000 people were able to see our X-Star flying the Stars and Stripes.

Demo Day and Women's Boating Clinic

We had an awesome demo day and women's boating clinic this past weekend. We had 10 boats, a bbq and over 100 of our friends come spend the day with us. MasterCraft pro Will Christien was in town to help us out with our women's boating clinic, which was a huge success. All the women who participated had a great time and really increased their boat driving skills. On top of that, all of their entry fees were donated to the Special Olympics Utah. Thanks to these women and a generous donation from General Manager Mike Matson, we were able to raise $2,000 for the Special Olympics Utah.

Later in the afternoon we were all dazzled by the Utah Water Sports wakeboarding team when they had a friendly competition to show off some of their abilities.

All in all, it was a great day. We'll be holding more demos and clinics throughout the summer, so if you're interested in signing up, call our General Manager Mike Matson at 801.495.2400.

Real Salt Lake vs. San Jose

We spent another exciting Saturday at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City. The San Jose Quakes were in town to face Real Salt Lake. Our booth at Carnival Real is getting better and better each game. This week participants were kicking a soccer ball into a tube in hopes of winning a t-shirt or a wakeboard. We gave away plenty of t-shirts, but the wakeboard remained a resident of our pro shop... for now. In our booth we also had sign ups for MasterCraft's "Ride of a Lifetime" sweepstakes and Coleman's "Boat Load" sweepstakes. People were really excited to be signing up for a chance to win a week of snowboarding and wakeboarding with the MasterCraft and Oakley pro teams as well as signing up to win a brand new MasterCraft CSX full of Coleman camping gear. Real Salt Lake Home Opener - March 29, 2008

Today was the home opener for Salt Lake City's professional soccer team, Real Salt Lake. This year we are one of their main sponsors, so of course we had to tow a few of our boats to the stadium to make our presence known. Here are a few photos from the event:

Utah Boat Show - Feb. 20-24, 2008

We spent this past weekend at the annual Utah Boat Show. It turned out to be a great show all around. We had 21 boats (including our 40th Anniversary X-Star), 3 movie screens and a few pro wakeboarders in our booth. (View current MC/UWS Inventory HERE)

We sponsored the wake park this year, which was a great success. Not only were we able to have some of our pro shop sponsored riders hit the rail, we watched in awe as MasterCraft team riders Andrew Adkison and Shane Bonifay showed off their skills.

This kid won our Guitar Hero competition. Not only did he score nearly 300,000 points on expert level "Cliffs of Dover" but just to show off his skills scored nearly 600,000 points on the most difficult song on the game. Thanks to O'brien Wakeboards and Straight Line for providing the grand prize.
